Went to the range yesterday; shot only so-so, but next time will be better. Apparently I look hot with a Glock in my hands, which amuses me. So far, I prefer pistols to revolvers.

Today I did a bit of shopping with seattlesparks, bought one of those shower cleaning thingies at Target and a dvd. Had lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen, which wasn't bad. Had /dinner/ at Ototo with the beast, which - of course - was divine.

Tomorrow we're going to the sailing club and we'll be having some additional docking lessons. Yay!

I'm going to see about ordering that couch soon, too!

The house is clean.

I have new hearing aids.

We remain, as before, out of debt (despite the hearing aids).

We have good food, working vehicles, steady employment, healthy cats.

I am steadily although slowly shrinking.

My mother is coming to visit end of August.

Beginning of August, the beast and I will be taking a 3 day, 2 night, sailing trip/class.

I get to tabletop almost weekly.

I have friends, family, something approximating my health, kittycats, and the ability to do almost anything I want.

Life is good.

And now it's off to the gun range.

I have really really cute new shoes, as can be seen here.

I'm also slimmer than I was. My meds may need to be adjusted, I'm thinking; I think it's still a little underclocked, but we'll see at the next appointment.

I'm getting new hearing aids in a little over a week.

The beast and I are signed up for another sailing course - 3 days and 2 nights on board a 35 foot beautiful boat, meals provided - in August.

Life is good.

I've received my diagnosis finally. If I've been more or less below radar for a long while, it's because I've been spending a lot of time waiting on this, and not entirely able to commit energy to other things.

I went to the gynecologist, who sent me to a specialist, who I saw today. An endocrinologist, who informs me that I have hypothyroidism.

I will have to be on medication for the rest of my life.

I don't really feel like going into more details right now, so maybe later.

Has anyone else ever been tempted to dance with their SO in a public place when certain songs come on the radio/sound system?

The beast and I were at Home Depot trying to buy stuff to put our garden boxes together and Foreigner's 'Waiting For A Girl Like You' came on the sound system and I had to really resist the urge. I felt like I was at my prom; funny, since I never went!

Problem not yet fixed. Internet has also been shaky. Can get mail on posts/comments I make myself, but anyone else's - no.

On the plus side, got a good deal on comforters, which is good since ours are all wearing out. Guess use in cold weather DOES wear them out faster! So I ordered 2 for around 70 dollars - 2 king-sized comforter sets. Hopefully they will be as good as they sound.

For people's reference : LJ has been acting up on me for a while. I have probably missed posts and messages and if so, I am NOT ignoring anyone, but I'm not getting mails; some posts are showing up and then vanishing; in general, it's messed up and I don't know what the hell's wrong.

So if you sent me a message and want a reply, it's pretty much a 1 in 10 chance if I'll realize it, and I just can't try to read everyone's journal going back for two-three months. :P E-mail me, or comment on this post specifically and I will try and hope nothing vanishes.

The Roomba arrived yesterday and has been set up. It has not been named (which shouldn't be surprising; I rarely name my appliances except for networking purposes and even then I usually begin by staring blankly).

It works very well. I am pleased. I still need to try it on the upstairs; Wimsey is not afraid of it, probably because it is quieter than most vacuums. He is suspicious of it, though, and at one point it was trundling towards him and he backed up quite hastily.

I've got an appointment, finally, to get in touch with my ovaries (so to speak). It isn't until March 27th, though; the soonest I could get. I'll admit it's been stressing me out a good deal for the past few months; the reasons for that I won't spam with here. So, another month and some and I'll know something.

Tried to get hold of the boat seller to give him a copy of the report, but we've been playing an odd form of tag for weeks now. Finally just told him to call my cell and leave his address as a message and I'll send it to him by mail.

Last night was a bad night because of the aftermath of these damn pills. However, snuggling with the beast on the couch (and with a Wimsey determined not to give up his seat) and watching Supernatural and laughing our butts off at the obscure in jokes and the music of 'our generation' helped. So did (how stereotypical of me) going through a pint of white chocolate gelato; unusual, for me, considering.

Today I've got to finish cleaning the bathroom and front room, and start on the kitchen. Whee.

So it's that time again and I'm doing one of my periodic LJ cleanups. If you want particularly to be kept on (or if you really want me to remove you), sing out. If you say nothing, I'll probably leave you (though who knows, I might embrace the spirit of taoist thought, who knows).

I figure while my life interests me, there's plenty of people out there who probably don't feel the need to check in on it frequently, and as such, I'm happy to do a mutual opting-out with no negativity (on my end, at least; wouldn't presume to speak for anyone else) attached.
